Refreshed and recharged

After a particulary laid-back, beery and very enjoyable bank-holiday weekend, I'm actually looking forward to getting back to work tomorrow.

Let's see what this week brings.

total mistake, I have worked out that the key to avoiding horrible days is to expect each day to be as awful as the last, then if it goes smoothly it went suprisingly well and if it goes awfully it is simply par for the course.

Well the week certainly didn't start off as brightly and cheerfully as I'd hoped!

I have to confess, Davey, that I can't do the "always expect the worst" thing. I just get myself into a pit of depression if I do that - I guess I'm too much of an optimist!

i tried optimism, it really didn't work out for me. I found days that I woke up smiling to be one crushing defeat after another, whirling round after round through the grinder. But I am young, I have a lot to learn.

So now, I don't shave, I get to work, I tell the last shift how dissapointed I am to find patients in department and I prepare to be abused by the unemployed.
